It all started with a game called "Destiny 2," where Chase and Madison first connected as gaming friends. After a year of playing together, they realized they lived just 20 minutes apart. Chase took the chance and asked Madison out, and their first date at Bob's Steak House on January 22, 2022, sparked an immediate connection. When Madison's job took her to Austin, they navigated long-distance for a while until Chase found work and moved to join her. They've made the most of Austin, exploring music festivals, comedy shows, and local breweries. Their travels extended beyond the city, taking them across Texas, including Fredericksburg, as well as other states and countries. A trip to Scotland and England, inspired by Madison's love for travel, became a milestone when Chase proposed at Hampton Court Palace near London—a moment that marked the next chapter of their journey. We invite you to join us as we celebrate this new beginning.

Flying in: We recommend flying into San Antonio or Austin airports; both are about 1 hour away. Driving in: Drive time from DFW to Fredericksburg is a little over 4 hours.

In October, there are many things to do in Fredericksburg, Texas, including outdoor activities, festivals, and visiting museums and wineries.&nbsp;

Explore the shops of Main Street Fredericksburg, which is the main drag through the town. There are many dining options for lunch, places for wine tasting, and a plethora of interesting shops!

We recommend making a reservation to do the 'cave tasting'. Their normal wine room is great too and usually has live music. The owners of the winery also own the wedding venue (La Bonne Vie), where some of their grapes are grown.

Tastings here are great and are paired with bites of food. They do typically require a reservation or else you'll have to wait!

So many wineries, so little time! There are literally 100's of wineries in the area. There is a shuttle called 290 wine shuttle that runs from downtown Fredericksburg out to the wineries on Hwy 290 east of town. See the website for more info.

Please book your lodging as possible because October is a very busy month in Fredericksburg and accommodations may get more difficult to find the longer you wait. Book at least two nights and be there on Friday, October 17th to join us for a welcome party at the homestead on the La Bonne Vie property or book for one night and arrive in time for the big event on Saturday, which starts at 4:30pm.
